Isn't there the proper way in, via the green door in the concrete structure underneath the Cable Car Station?

I think the green door is the entrance to the small tank (like the one in Pydew).  From memory the access to the Happy Valley Reservoir is via some inspection chambers round the putting green.

It started leaking, and Welsh Water fearing a collapse drained it via Hill Terrace about 5 years ago, if memory serves  $walesflag$

I think the only access is through the manhole cover on the putting green.

An easy one today.   This roughly triangular area of the Church is walled off from the rest of the Churchyard and all the graves are comparitively modern.
What was it before it became a graveyard?     Name and trade please.

Was it a pub called the Mostyn Arms ?  The licence was transferred to the Links which was originally called the Mostyn Arms.

What is this and where would you have found it up until about a year ago?

It looks like it could have been some sort of a drinking fountain with the two insets in the base for dogs etc. but the top seems to have been broken off at some stage. I think I remember something like that on Colwyn Bay Prom by the pier and it might have been removed to accommodate the new Watersports facility.

I think that's more than good enough! It is the remains of a drinking fountain that was placed on the Prom by the entrance to Eirias Park in (I think) 1897 to mark the completion of the Prom. It was removed during the construction of the Watersports Centre and was last seen sitting on a pallet outside their Portakabins.

I wondered where that had gone - wasn't it a horse trough as well?
