William Hughes (Billy's father) died in the workhouse in London.
Jane Hughes ( Billy's mother) died from influenza at The Three Cocks Inn in Glazebury on her way to visit her parents in Llansanfraid-y-Mechan in Powys. ( I have her death certificate), not in a train crash at Glastonbury as some history information says.

I actually managed to get into the church in Llansanfraid-y-Mechan last year and photograph the window there, dedicated to Jane Hughes (nee Morris) .
I can get boring on this subject !!!---- but When David Lloyd George came to Llandudno William Morris Hughes brought him to Abbey Road to show him where he had lived as a child.

It's not quite correct but near enough so I'll give you that Bellringer.     

There are two separate buildings there, the school and the Schoolhouse which was completed before the end of the 1872 academic year and immediately occupied by the first schoolmistress.   It's the Headmaster's home or was until it was sold by Mostyn Estates in 1990

I think the last headteacher who lived there was Stan Mason.  He continued to live there after he retired.

I have known his son Alwyn for years and didn't know until Alwyn told me recently that his father was Headmaster at the school and that they lived in the Headmaster's House.
Didn't realise that Stan Mason was the last Head to live there either.
