Its Mrs Fester's birthday soon,  and she has wanted a spa session and a meal at Bodysgallen for quite a while now.

This recent discussion has encouraged me to get them booked!   Thanks Hollins.  $thanx$

I'm sure that Mrs Fester will really appreciate that treat and I'd recommend the Main Building for that extra bit of pampering.  It's a great experience and have a walk around the grounds after if you're not too full.

Not so ridiculous when you have such small appetites as we have!    ZXZ

Fair play then Yorkie, I'll let you off.
On a serious note one of the meanest men I've ever seen was at the Downing Arms in Bodfari. He was an old Welsh farmer and he ordered one mixed grill and two plates so that he could share the meal with his wife.  He then ordered a pint and came back when the glass was nearly empty and asked the barmaid for a third of a pint of beer to go in his nearly empty glass.
I know what his trick was and that was for her to fill his glass up and only be charged for a third of the price.
The barmaid must have known the guy though and politely explained that the measures are only for a pint or a half so he agreed to pay for the half and then she filled a half pint glass and poured that into his nearly empty pint glass.
His face was a picture of disappointment.

Is it William Morris Hughes who was a pupil at a school in Cwlach Street, Llandudno and later became Prime Minister of Australia?

Lord Woolton made the opening speech of the 1948 Tory Conference held in our Pier Pavillion.

Excellent Bri, I didn't know that!  The connection I was thinking of was that Lord Woolton was the Minister of Food during WW2, the Ministry of Food was relocated to Colwyn Bay and Lord Woolton himself was billeted in 'The Killer' (Station Hotel) in Llandudno Junction whenever he came up to the Ministry from London.
