By 'central' do you include the Orme?

Is it one of the wells there?

I wrote: Llandudno had a couple of reservoirs on the Great Orme at one time, and the town also had a water tower. The unused water tower can still be viewed today........but where?

The water tower had nothing to do with the supply of drinking water.  :D

Elementary my dear Watson.  ;)

Yes, the St George's Hotel. The large edifice on top of the hotel was the water tower, which was used to supply water hydraulics in addition to a counter-weight to operate Llandudno's very first lift in Victorian times.

Looks like Ffynnon Eidda to me.

Where the minor road south from Carrog meets the B4407 stands Ffynnon Eidda in lonely grassland.

It bears a plaque proclaiming it’s restoration in 1846. Eidda was in all probability a saint but there is no certainty of this.

The book “Ffynhonnau Cymru” states that the well was a drover’s well used by their animals as they travelled across the Migneint.

The Welsh inscription above the well reads "Yf a bu Ddiolchgar" (Drink and be Grateful'). However, if you did indeed drink from it you would probably contract dysentery.
