Old pump house in Rhôs on Sea, off church road
That's the one. It's been in the papers lately with a reward for anyone who can suggest a new use for it.

I used to work for Welsh Water and visited there quite often. It's a very impressive building and goes down two storeys underground as it had a dry well set-up. The pump motors were at the top with two propshafts going down to each pump at the bottom. There was also an office and workshop at the back on the ground level.

That's interesting, what exactly is a dry well set up?

A dry well is when the pumps are in a pit opposite the well divided by a wall and fed by pipes as opposed to a wet well where the pumps are submersible and sit in the fluid (water/sewage)

No picture clue this time....where was the Cabin Cafe in Llandudno in the 1960s? Bonus point if you can tell me what the premises are used for now?

My first ridiculous guess - It was one of the kiosks near the Pier entrance and became a ticket office for Alpine, which it may well still be.     ZXZ

Your wild guess didn't pay off this time, I'm afraid!

A Google reveals that the Cabin Cafe was on ....Mostyn Street. But where?

I must have seen it but can't think where it was exactly.   There has been a number of cafes where Kava is now, could it have been there?

Well done, Norman, you've got it. I have a photo from the 1960s that shows it, there was a bank next door where Animal is now.
