Dead Man's Handle?  ££$

Have you ever thought about taking a day off Dave?  ???

Yes, you are correct. I always thought they used a pedal, similar to a train locomotive drivers', "Dead Man's Pedal" but on the trams it's a device that fits around the operator's wrist like a watch bracelet. A cord stems from the bracelet which has a device similar to a key on the end which fits into a slot on the trams' electrical panel. If the driver collapses, the cord should pull-out from the slot, switching an electrical breaker which applies the brakes.

What was presented to the town by Mrs William Jenkins of Birmingham in 1894?

Not sure, but I think I've seen this stone,  on Happy Valley Road?

It wasn't a foundation stone for the Pavilion (too late) .... or The Grand Hotel, (too early).

Is it to do with the public toilets? ....were they 'given' to the town in that year?

No, way off the mark there Fester. However, I suppose you could use it as a public toilet........if no one is watching.  :blank:

Is it outside Llandudno?    i.e., on the promenade at Rhos or Colwyn Bay?

But if you use it as a public toilet, it won't be Bog Island! D)

Interesting, an old church that has been converted into 3 or 4 flats. Are we still in Llandudno, mate?  :)
