Yes!!  H,  Thats exactly where it is...
A beautiful scrolled plaster design,  but the roof is also superb, with a Tdow style lattice design, with a gold 'boss' at each junction in the timbers.

Well done, I am despatching your prize as we speak.  $good$

Looking at M&Co from the front, it is the left-hand part of the shop (M&Co aka Marie Et Cie was originally three separate shops). I wonder what it was originally, the ceiling is very grand?

Marie Et Cie was located at No's 2 4 & 6 Gloddaeth Street. No's 4 & 6 were added to the store in the 1920's, having served the town for many years as a Post Office, in which role the electric telegraph was installed in 1869.

The low building to the left, what is today Nigel Robert's newsagents and Poynton's butchers shop was built as the photographic studio of Thomas Edge. Edge's wife, Jeannie Catherine managed the studio and an adjoining art shop, next door to what eventually became Marie Et Cie

So it's likely that No.6 (with the ornate ceiling) was the Post Office, I think, as its far grander than no.4.

When I took the picture, the ladies working there told me that it did indeed used to be the Post Office.
