I have heard of it before.  :)

"Local guides do not mention a Welsh name for this rock fissure on the Pentrwyn headland nor why this name was chosen".

As an aside, there's also a Dutchman's Bank close to Puffin Island.

The vessel Rothsay Castle ran aground here on August 17 1831 with the loss of many lives.

I'm wondering if Dutchman's Cove & Bank were named by seafarers in reference to The Flying Dutchman?

Coming back to the Brierley family, the Brierley brothers operated a facility in the 1920's prior to the Llandudno Motor Station for their fleet of Creams charabancs.

Where was this facility?

What did it eventually become before it was demolished?

A bonus for anyone who knows the Christian names of the Brierley brothers.  :)

The coaches were at Herkomer Road / Bryniau Road which was taken over by Frank Tyldesley and became a Garage, since then a One Stop Shop and now  Disability Shop.

There is also record of Creams being at Dunphy's Warehouse and Bakery and also by Maesdu Bridge!

Zach (Zachary) was one of the brother's and the other was I believe Daniel but can't be sure.

In 1920 Sir Zachry's father, also called Zachry, and his mother bought some freehold land adjoining Queen's Road and Conway Road and rented a house called Bryn Wylfa. It was at this house that Sir Zachry was born.

The Brierley Brothers were Sir Zachry's father Zachry and his brother James.

When Sir Zachry was born in 1920 and until 1944 when his grandfather died, there were three Zachry Brierleys alive.

Llandudno Motor Station was opened in 1930.

Llandudno Motor Station was opened in 1930.

The building was demolished and the new building started in late 1933 housing the Winter Gardens, opened on 25 March 1935

No, that's not West Shore I'm afraid.

Brierley's had a workshop in Garden Street, close to Dunphy's warehouse, where they manufactured gas governers.

&well& Stan, the above photo is indeed at the top of Conway Road, Craig-y-Don. (the house on the right is still there) The rear of the premises faced Queens Road.

Ah, just noticed you answered correctly the bonus - Zachary's brother was James.  D)

It was a GPO depot, before it was demolished.
