The land was used as an official refuse tip serving Colwyn Bay The Council contracted out refuse collection to anyone prepared to go around with a horse and cart and pick up people's rubbish.
In it's heyday 500 cartloads of refuse were being tipped onto the fields across the stream every month.
The flow of water in the stream has exposed fragments of old broken domestic pottery and glass all along its lower levels
