My brother in law is doing the Round Britain and Ireland yacht race at the moment. They set off from Cowes this morning. We are finding it interesting watching the progress of the yachts as they sail along the south coast going east. The leader is a trimaran from Oman.
We have been looking at the tracking on this site:
http://roundbritainandireland.rorc.org/2014-fleet-tracking.html
Then we looked at the overall position with all the other shipping on the marine traffic site.
http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/
Incredible how much shipping there is down there in the Channel.
Anyway this reminded me of Tosh (forum member) who I think was the one who first told us about the marine site. Hope you are okay over there in Staffs Tosh.

Team Relentless on Jellyfish!

Robin Knox Johnston is on Grey Power sailing two handed. A long way to go with only two on board.
