I agree next to Green and Blacks and Thorntons, Aldi choc good. Cadburys too sweet since taken over. In fact we like so many of there products, have had a very nice steak from there.

Talking about diesel being dearer that petrol, many years ago and for very, very many years, diesel was always around half the price of petrol. We were always told that the reason for that was because petrol had all sorts of other valuable stuff in in, like tar for making soap products etc. So at the refineries they took all these valuable ingredients out and diesel was what was left at the end. If this is correct, how come the two prices are now more or less the same?

That was the reason I bought a diesel....  Mind you although its higher than ul nowadays my car still going string (12years) & costs me 13p a mile on motorway runs.

I do remember being outraged when it went over a pound a litre...

I bought these books yesterday at the Rhyl car boot sale, £4 the lot! The early Seventies Llandudno brochure has many great pics in it!

I managed to get the '50d, '60s. '70s and '80s brochures and we've put the images and ads from them on the site's media section. As you say - great pics :-))

Is that the safeway one, the Tir Prince one or another one altogether?
Only been to Tir Prince and it was more of a market than a car boot.

The front cover of that 70's brochure looks very fake, it's not a viewpoint I've seen in Llandudno.

The one by the Sainsburys roundabout, I don't like the Tir Prince one very much!

Yes indeed! I bought all that they had at those prices! They had already sold a few on Llandudno, I wonder what gems they were?

A bargain indeed ME. Well done!
I have some of them, all cost more than £4 each. The one in the middle of the bottom row looks nice. Is that the postcard book?
