Hi Merddin Emrys ,
I only just saw your post about your pink bathroom. Hooray!
I thought we were the only ones mad enough to keep the coloured bathrooms!
I am hoping they will become collectors items soon.

We have a pink bathroom probably dating back to the time the place was built in the 1960's.  We have no intention of changing it as the suite matches the walls which are all fully tiled in a similar colour!   ;D

In fact the picture of Merddin's could be ours!!!    _))*

If you want a cheap ipad, I have managed to obtain some ...from a cancelled NHS contract.

How does £20 each sound?   Full spec and illustration below..

Last week we attended a firend's wedding in Derbyshire where we used to live. I was able to frequent some of my old bargain hunting places!
One is the John Smedley factory shop in Lea Bridge near Matlock. They still manufacture the finest knitwear there. I bought the softest 100% cashmere wrap for £30.
Then on the way back we stopped at the Wedgwood factory shop. The crockery I use every day is Sarah's garden by Wedgwood. The yellow colour was discontinued a few years ago. I have bought some replacements from ebay since.
It was my lucky day this time though. There was a big pile of yellow dinner plates at £2.69 each. I bought 10 of them!
The assistant said to me she never thought she would see that colour again and that they had found them in the Fenton warehouse.
They still say made in England. What a great find!

Trying to find large items on e bay is frustrating because they are 'pick up only' and usually situated in the Orkneys or somewhere similar. But last week I boggled - an electric wheelchair for £150. I thought "even if it's in Wednesbury (as more than the fair share of items seem to be) it will be worth the petrol." When I looked further I found it to be, co-incidentally, in Norfolk - about 12 miles away. Got it, and it's great. But I hadn't thought beyond the immediate. So now, because our old cottage is on several different levels, I whizz around the conservatory like a man posessed!    :Sisyphus:

I was the only bidder for these gorgeous Limoges plates on ebay. I think that nobody wanted tp pay the £10 postage but the plates were only £1 each.
I have found a home for them in my new shed......oooops, sorry chalet.
Chalet is coming along nicely and Dave's photos will be on the wall soon!
Not seen any spiders yet Fester so safe to visit!
