A very satisfactory result from the Church's point of view yesterday, and many thanks to all who helped and supported the event.
I nearly won a handbag in the raffle but being the gentleman I am, I asked them to pick another ticket!! :-[

Hi Stan...
Mrs Fester and I usually like to attend a Church Christmas Carol Concert, and/or a Christmas service...
(please don't shout at me for not attending at other times of the year)
Christmas is pretty special to us, and we usually try to attend St Tudno's candlelit service.... its a nice walk there and back too!

What I'm asking is, what forthcoming events are there at the Holy Trinity that we could attend?
Feel free to direct me to the notice boards if you like...

I'm sure Stan won't mind me mentioning that Carols By Candlelight at St Tudnos will be on Sunday 19th December, at both 3pm and 5pm:

In addition to those events which can be found on the links provided by DaveR (thank you Dave), there is also scheduled at Holy Trinity, the Hospices' Carol Service on Thursday 16 December and I think the start time is 7pm

Last year the Church was full so it might pay to be an "early bird" if you attend this one. I*

PS Fester, we don't shout at anyone,  we are just pleased to see you when you do come. BTW we ring the bells for half an hour before this one so if you would like to come up and have a look, you would be most welcome.

Slightly earlier than the above is the newly instituted Carol Concert at Trinity by the Trinity Players.  That's on

Tuesday 7th December starting at 7.30pm

and features Mulled wine and Hot mince pies afterwards in the church schoolroom.  The proceeds from the concert, which will consist of all your favourite Christmas  songs and carols, plus seasonal readings from Joyce Grenfell and Pam Ayres, among others, are going to

Help For Heroes

and tickets cost £2.00 and are available from Intersport or Sport Direct, Upper Mostyn Street, or on the door.

On Sunday 5 December there will be Christingle service at Holy Trinity Church at 5.00 pm (The time given in the Parish Magazine is incorrect).  This is a lovely service for children and families in particular and you can see a photo from a previous year's service at:

http://www.llandudno-parish.org.uk/Christmas_2010.html

This page also shows a photo of Carols by Candlelight at St. Tudno's Church.

The annual services of Carols by Candlelight at St. Tudno's Church will be on
Sunday 19 December at 3.00 pm and at 5.00 pm.

For more information and a photo, please see:
http://www.llandudno-parish.org.uk/Christmas_2010.html

There are two services as the church is not very large and the services are popular.  The paths will be lit, weather permitting, but a torch may still be useful if attending the later service.  There is no heating in the church but the welcome will be warm.  CCBC has kindly agreed that the public toilets near the church can be kept open until after the services.

Weather permitting, St. Tudno's will be open over Christmas and the new year (25 - 29 December and 1 - 3 January), then weekends and Wednesdays for the rest of the winter.

Happy Christmas - Nadolig Llawen!

Nearly 200 at the Hospices' Carol Service at Holy Trinity Church last night - no doubt the weather had some effect.

Carols by Candlelight at St. Tudno's Church took place on Sunday, despite the rather tricky conditions on the Great Orme roads.  Many thanks to five members of the Friends of St. Tudno's Church who prepared the church and led the service and to everyone who struggled through the snow to attend - 25 at 3.00 pm and five at 5.00 pm.

Ian, many thanks for recently posting instructions on how to add a photo.

Happy Christmas everyone.
