I saw some of it from the Church tower and it looked pretty good to me. So good we rang the bells to accompany the bangs and celebrate the event taking place at the first attempt this year.

Stan.... for some strange reason, the image below sprang to my mind.
By the way, Mrs F and I watched that most brilliant firework display from by The Cable Car Station ... fabulous view, no music there though.

Wish I known Fester :votive:, the wife and i were the ones sitting on the fold up chairs just in front of you. We have been going to the same spot for years now and still recon its the best place to watch the display {}{}

My Son and Heir was home for the week-end and he spent some time at the Fireworks Display taking some shots. This is one of his time exposure shots which I like.

I'd like to know why the Aromatherapy kiosk was open at that time.  :laugh:

The guy that runs it must have an incredibly low electricity bill. I'm glad to see he's finally gone green though.

It just shows how the world has changed .... because,
The Pier were selling burgers, etc ... and those 'serving on'  told me were astonished just how many kids would rather queue for a burger and miss the entire display!

The weather forecast for next Monday is looking good although the wind might be a bit strong blowing off the sea on to the shore but hopefully the organised event in Llandudno will not suffer.

Talking of this event though, isn't it time that the public access to fireworks through supermarkets etc should be stopped. I see no reason whatsoever to make them available as they just add unnecessary risk,noise and rubbish to the local community.
Whilst on the subject what about public bonfires ? Occasionally you hear of tragic accidents as a result of bonfires and it's not surprising when unscrupulous local tradesmen and others use bonfires as an opportunity to dump all sorts of unwanted items.
One such trader was getting rid of his rubbish at the Pentywyn rd bonfire site this afternoon. To protect his identity the detail on his van has been removed as I couldn't see what he was dumping but it's obvious that others couldn't care less. I pity the residents who suffer the toxic fumes and the remaining eyesore the following day.

Ironic that there are people out there stealing metal !

But plastics are just toxic rubbish. Who knows what's in the bin bags.

Fire his REg No. to CCBC, as he is probably a regular dumper.  They may catch him!

In fairness, on checking, the person who's van was in the photo lives very close  to the scene. Had he come from further afield I might have been inclined to think he was a serial fly tipper.

So now it's OK to toss out stuff that will cause toxic fumes, or stuff that won't burn and will have to be cleared (no doubt by the Council) after the event?

There is  perfectly good Civic Amenity site in the area where this could have been got rid of.   >>>
