Tellytubby sent me this e-mail so I thought that I'd pass it on to the forum.  The aurora borealis captured from Llandudno

The other day I downloaded some photos from my camera to my computer in the usual way but I couldn't find them afterwards. The mystery was eventually solved when I realised that they had gone to the top of the folder. The reason was that the numbers on my camera had gone back to number one.
This means I had taken 9999 photos since the arrival of the "wonder" camera in June 2013.
So here to celebrate is the 9,999th photo which I am daring to post in the PHOTOGRAPHY section!     :o

I can't remember what model camera you bought Hollins but seem to remember Dave advising you on the one to go for.   Was it a Sony Bridge camera?

Thanks Hollins, that's the reason why your photos are so good.  I've been reading a bit about those Sony Cameras and the reports have been very good.       $good$
The Sony RX 10  is another that has had very good reports and has an 8.3 zoom and I've been following them on e-bay and the second hand prices are nearly the same as the new ones.

These are DaveR's foggy pics from a couple of years ago. Have you taken any more this time DaveR?

That's a shame. I miss your photos on here.

There are a couple of photos on the BBC Wales page which have local interest. One is a similar view to the one Hugo took of the sunset and mist from Colwyn and the other one of the foggy pier.

Thank you.   :) I did eventually manage to take one or two photos of the fog but haven't had a chance to take a look at them yet.

Looking across at the Summit Complex on the Great Orme, with a blanket of fog covering Llandudno Bay beneath.

I often get requests to license my photos for use in adverts, magazines etc but I was surprised today to receive an email from a representative of Twentieth Century-Fox, wishing to use one of my photos in an upcoming film! The film is 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children', which is being directed by Tim Burton, and based on the best selling book. They want to use the photo as a background poster in one of the scenes. Following some swift work by my Agent, Mr Knowles, a deal to use the photo was swiftly concluded. It will be the first time one of my photos has appeared in a film - exciting!  $good$
