LOOK: Amazing Anglesey and Aberystwyth images from 1890-1900 held in US Library of Congress

From South Stack Lighthouse to Devil's Bridge, these beautiful pictures give a snapshot of Anglesey and Aberystwyth from more than 100 years ago.
The remarkable "photochrom" pictures were not found in Wales, but are part of a set held at the US Library of Congress, in Washington.

LOOK: Stunning photos of Conwy's changing autumn colours
Summer is over for another year and as the clocks go back in a couple of weeks, it certainly feels as though winter is on its way.
However, autumn has splashed its colours over Conwy Valley and there is no denying the beauty of North Wales at this time of year.

LOOK: Planes, trains and...bicycles? North Wales transport through the 1900s

These pictures show the changing face of transport in North Wales throughout the 1900s.
From buses and trains to ships and planes the region saw it all over the course of the last century.
Do you remember the short-lived monorail which ran along the promenade in Rhyl in the 1980s?
Or perhaps you recall the electric trams which used to run through Colwyn Bay .
Whatever your memories you can take a nostalgic look at the region's transport network by clicking through our gallery above.

LOOK: Stunning photographs show North Wales from the sea

These amazing pictures show North Wales as seen from the sea and rivers across the region.
You can see a beautiful full moon over the Great Orme and Llandudno and an atmospheric shot of mist lifting from the sea under Britannia Bridge.

Hollins,  Dave has some great pictures of Baron Hill on Anglesey,  one was available for sale on our website at one point.

It looks like a fascinating place, although I've never been personally.
