I feel a bit of a fraud posting on here but I can finally stick my camera in front of a flower and hey presto a beautifully sharp picture.
Thanks DaveR for the recommendation for the camera.

A good camera doesn't make a good picture.  It is the eye behind the lens that makes the picture!     ££$

Thanks all but I can really take no credit for these. I literally held the camera in front of a flower and pressed the shutter. All taken on the automatic setting without having to adjust any settings which is exactly what I was after.

You can take the credit, H, because you chose that particular flower to photograph.  $good$

This is one of the saddest gravestones in St. Michael's Church, Conwy. This Couple's four children all died under three years old, the husband died aged just 38 and his wife was left on her own for another 46 years after the last of her children died.

Haha, thank you, yes it was done with the iPhone camera. The river level was so low that I was able to paddle right across the river from one side to the other very easily. I stopped in the middle to take this photo:

Well done. It is hard to imagine that is the same scene as all those regular floods.
