I noticed on the West Shore Issues thread that Dave is on Flickr:

I've been on there for a few years now:

Do any other members have a Flickr account to show their photos?

I saw this film on the Daily Post this morning. There is a short advert at the start.
I like the ones with the stars especially.

Looks like somebody's reading the forum.

The Duke of Lancaster gets mystery black paint job
The ship which lies abandoned in Llanerch-y-Mor, near Mostyn and was covered in graffiti has been given a makeover.
But pictures have emerged showing some of that graffiti has now been covered over in a layer of black paint.
The paint job was carried out in late February according to the Duke of Lancaster Facebook page but neither the ship’s owner John Rowley, nor Flintshire Council were available to say why it was carried out.

The south facing side of the ship has yet to be painted over and the graffiti painted onto this side can still be seen

Those photos are incredible, thanks for posting the link Hollins but don't worry about Ian as I think he shares a love/ hate relationship with the DFM.      ;D

No - it's mainly one of utter loathing.  But the photos were good, albeit Dave R does even better shots.  What I did notice was that it's now standard for photos to be mercilessly tweaked in Photoshop. The most recent comment, however, was less than charitable:

Although good, the photo's are not 'out of this world' good. Photo's 7 and 8 and out of focus, photo's 15 and 16 broke the ultimate rule for water......no matter what, the water horizon has to be 100% dead level which these are not. You can get away with a bit of ground only photo's not being level but water, it always finds it's own level and not many people can get this on a finished photo without a tripod. Nothing worse than looking at seaside photo's where the horizon looks like a hill. The photo's here would not win awards so I will not purchase the book. Yes, I can do better.

I suppose learning how to use an apostrophe might make a good start.

That's a fair comment about photos being mercilessly tweaked in photoshop and I noticed it, especially on some of the photos.   They were really good photos but one or two looked unreal and more like a painting than a photograph.
Nevertheless I enjoyed seeing them and it's obvious that the photographer has gone to a lot of trouble to capture those images     $good$
