Try this link for some fascinating pictures. I got interested after reading a book called Falling Angels by Tracey Chevalier
and Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger
They both involve Highgate Cemetery and its history.

It is a fantastic place to visit.  Mainly known for housing the remains of Karl Marx and a few other not so interesting people.   You could spend a few hours there and not get bored.   I suggest taking a notebook and pen as there are lots of interesting epitaphs, and you can never remember them once you have left!     D)

I've spent many an hour there when I lived dahn sahf.   ZXZ

top line is DEACON'S and underneath in script diagonally is JONES.  Last line may be DEALER or TRADER.  Someone will come up with the answer!       )*)&

Not local - exactly, but a shot from my new Camera, taken last night.

went for a walk yesterday around the back streets in llandudno looking for anything interesting and found this

I had never known about this, a certain Mr Codman lived there, there is a plaque on the wall and various Punch & Judy items in the window!

we then went towards the pier and found this notice

I'd like to see the other half of the 'modern' sign taken off to take another picture!

You can find some interesting things on the back streets. Punchinello Cottage has been the home of the Codman family since they arrived in Llandudno, they still live there today.

Nice pic of the pier sign, too!  $good$

thanks, Dave, to think all the years I've known llandudno and only yesterday did I discover Punchinello Cottage! I find the back streets in many ways more interesting than the main streets!

This reminded me of New York

Re the pic of the sign by the pier. This morning whilst on the beach I noticed that the sign facing same was still complete, but some few years out of date ! They must keep adding one lot on top of the other!
