2,000,000m. Land Rover rolls off the line.

Watch classic Land Rover being restored...in a minute.

A new headquarters is being developed to restore classic Land Rover vehicles - which were first dreamt up on an Anglesey beach.
Back in 1947, engineering director Maurice Wilks sketched the shape for the original Land Rover on Red Wharf Bay.
He proposed the idea to his brother Spencer, who was the company’s managing director, and an icon was born.

Now Jaguar Land Rover Classic is being set up to bring some of the Series One vehicles and other older Land Rover classics back to life..
More and two part video.....

I was reading about the new Jag F-Pace in Autocar recently; looks like it may be a real winner. Shame about

Had a test drive, it's far and away the best car I've ever driven. And that includes the new Discovery Sport, Evoque, Touareg, Lexus etc. It's absolutely brilliant with a superb interior. As a result, the order is in and delivery scheduled for September.

Thanks for the photographs hollins, it really is as good as it looks.

Apparently, there have been 2,000 pre-ordered in the UK, 10,000 world-wide. We were very lucky and just fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to get a test drive. There were people waiting for a test drive, some of whom had ordered one before having a test drive! Not something that I'd be prepared to do. The dealer had test drives arranged every 30 minutes for the next 10 days.....!

It arrives on Monday....

Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may have been given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it.

We saw this Lotus 7 parked in Porthmadog High Street yesterday.  It looked in immaculate condition

So it is.  In fact it's so new it's not on the DVLA database.    In all honesty I didn't take too much notice of the number plate as I was more interested in getting an ice cream

See more like it and lots of other swish classics at Cars & Coffee on the Prom at Rhos on Sea on Sunday September 18 - the last event of its kind this year.

The first three letters of the plate LJI. I don't think my old boss has gone mad and bought this, but he has a few LJI plates on his Llew Jones International coaches.

LJI plates would be followed by 4 numbers - they're originally from Northern Ireland and as you say Llew Jones coaches have quite a few of them! ... this car is a 16-plate vehicle, would be a London registration, but not sure what the make is - Westfield, Caterham, Locost, there are many variations of what was once a Lotus 7.

Looks like a Caterham Seven Superlight 20.

The badge on the front said Lotus 7,  wish that I had taken more photos of it when I had the chance but the Parisella's ice cream was more appealing in the heat at Porthmadog

I saw this very tidy little car in Church Walks.  It's like the one Andrew Marr drives on TV but I don't know the make as the only badges on it said Figaro and turbo
