Googled "how much did it cost to film the Ken Block Gymkana" and got this ...

Seems it was worthwhile for the city.
Now, let's see about designing a course around Llandudno - there are quite a few local youngsters who (think they) can drive like that!!!

Good find DVT,.... Must be some money in shoes, not the same in my day, black or white plimsolls from Woolworth's  ;)

A reminder that...you will no longer get a paper disc when you tax your car from today. The tax disc, which was introduced in 1921, is now no longer needed, with Police able to rely on automatic number plate recognition cameras to enforce.

I believe that not every Police car has these cameras fitted so it's only a percentage of the Car tax dodgers that will get caught.
If anyone wants to check if a vehicle is taxed or MOT'd put " Car tax checker" into Google and you can find out the answer for free.

Someone I knew had a Reliant Robin van and used to drive around in it with his wife and five children.    His wife nagged him to have a vasectomy but he dithered over the decision and only went for the op when he found out that his wife was expecting number six!
From memory I think that he had to change the vehicle not long afterwards.       ;D

This one for M.E.....

Rusting classic Jaguar excites car owners

A rusting 50-year-old classic car, found in a garage in Conwy, has been sold for three times its estimate.

The car was sold with its original service manual and a letter to the owner from the manufacturer in Coventry, dated 6 February, 1963, indicating he was leaving the Jaguar while going to the Far East.

OK so we do not now have to display a tax disc.

So a few (or many) more people will clone the plate of a car that is taxed and insured, or maybe own two identical cars which they can put the same plates on, one taxed one not. ;D

What about incorrectly spaced letters and numbers or non regulation type face?  The ANPR camera can't register  their offence. :D

Seems like a lot more work for the Bobby on the beat! ZXZ

Hi Hollins,    I like your Jeep photo,.... The name on the side "Realtree" refers to a company you probable will not like,...... I had an outdoor clothing firm many years ago, "wax jackets and green wellies" etc...... Realtree clothing, like the Jeep, is as the name suggests camouflaged used primarily for hunting.  sorry... :(
and bird watching..not so bad.
