That's a great pic, Steve, so I've added it to our inline image store, which makes it display more nicely :-)

I was looking for a photo of my first mini but I couldn't find one. However I did find a photo of my mum's first car which I see has a registration plate close to Ian's heart!    ;D
The second photo is me washing a later model of my mum's, a Mini Countryman.

The Clubman was a nice little car. Mrs Ian's first was also a Mini.

My first car was an Austin Mini Countryman - bought it a week before my 17th birthday.  Haven't seen a "woody" for years - would love to have it back now!!!

I think my mum had three, a red, blue and green one. Here is one of them with its running in sticker. Sorry to longer members of the forum because I think I may have posted these before.
Nice memories for you DVT hopefully.

Nice photos H.   and DVT I think we would all like some of our oldies back.   £££££££
While I'm on, just heard about a guy, doing car paint jobs, very cheap,  specialises in vintage cars, old spitfires, etc. (just in case Merddin has any problems) I have not seen his work myself, but will attach photo of his work, I'm sure Ian will move this to    "Recommended tradesman" section, later.
