It was a Ferrari Spider .... with cream leather trim ... approx £220,000,  and a 3 year waiting list.

Calm down, man! It's actually a Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, dating from the late 1990s. You can get one for under £30k:

It was a Spider, I saw the badge on the back.

Having said that, it means nothing ... I could put any badge on my car I suppose.

You're quite right, the only difference between the 3 different F355 models is in the type of top they have. The Spider has the semi-automatic soft top.

This was the first car I owned outright, I paid £150.00 for it in 1976. I had to part with it when the subframe went about two years later , I loved that car, can't find the original photo, my daughter borrowed it for an art project for her A levels, here's the finished painting, the one on the right is the correct colour.

Hang that picture in The Tate Gallery, name it something to do with 'Retro' and it would comfortably make £5 million.

My first car was a 1936ish Standard Flying 20 with a 2.6 litre, 6 cylinder, side valve engine.  A bit of a poor investment I soon discovered!     :rage:

This was my second a 1932 Austin Seven.  I was in the RAF and poor!   And we had petrol coupons!   _))*
