So Apple have deliberately imposed a new operating system on me that is, it seems not fit for purpose, something seems very wrong with that! It was great before!  :rage:

It's the ongoing quandary all the big IT people find themselves in.  Technology is developing faster than just about anything, yet the problem is that new ideas generally require faster processors, so those with older machines are left out. You can always revert...

There were quite a few websites warning people with iPad2 and iPhone4 not to upgrade to iOS8 immediately and wait for feedback from those that do just in case there were problems like this.

Sadly I was unaware, it just popped up on the screen saying update available, the previous updates had been fine, I automatically assumed this would be too!

I have an iPad 2, upgraded 48 hours ago, and after a few glitches and the apps upgrading to operate on iOS8, all seems to be running fine now.  The picture problem is only with the Forum, which presumably has not had any modifications.  I still have my notebok running XP so can use that if I need to.  I have some apps on that dating from Win95, so it is still earning its keep.

A reminder that...you will no longer get a paper disc when you tax your car from today. The tax disc, which was introduced in 1921, is now no longer needed, with Police able to rely on automatic number plate recognition cameras to enforce.

Googled "how much did it cost to film the Ken Block Gymkana" and got this ...

http://www.quora.com/How-much-did-it-cost-to-film-Ken-Blocks-Gymkhana-in-San-Francisco

Seems it was worthwhile for the city.

Now, let's see about designing a course around Llandudno - there are quite a few local youngsters who (think they) can drive like that!!!
