In fact he drove us home after our wedding reception in it, wonderful memory, thanks for reminding me.

I expect you remember it fondle-ly.

Oh come on, not in the back of someones car when they were driving. _))* _))*
Can't remember now anyway, it's 45 years next month.  :o

Who remembers the Wolsley Hornet and it's twin the Riley Elf?

The Riley Elf and Wolsley Hornet were upmarket versions of Sir Alexander Issigonis masterpiece, the Mini. The distinctive grille was the standout feature, while the tail received its own makeover, which included extending the length so that the car looked much more like a typical saloon.
Now you mention it, you can see the Mini resemblance very clearly.  $good$

Who remembers the Singer Le Mans?  Or the Berkley, or 3 wheel Morgan with the V Jap engine.  The Jaguar SS, the Hillman Imp and the Morris 8, and plenty of others still left to name?   ^*^0 ^*^0 ^*^0

I remember those and a lot more! I've owned probably in excess of 140 cars in 40 years of driving! We go to a lot of classic car shows so still see them.  D)

Back in 1972 we had a Bedford Beagle van which was  Vauxhall Viva based.
It was the tinniest thing I have ever driven.
The clutch was worn out and if we wanted to go out of town up the hill we had to zig zag across the estates as it wouldn't go directly up the medium steep hill.
When we replaced it we had the newly issued Morris Marina 7 CWT, damn good workhorse that was too.

It seems that the abandoned Bentley in the drive just above Llandrillo College has been moved !

One of my favourites was a 'Bradford Jowett', which had been converted into 'Shooting Brake' by a previous owner, who used it to go fishing at the w/e. He used to sleep in the back, as the seats folded to make a bed. It even had curtains on the windows.    ^*^0

I'm sure lots of us remember the old Wolseley Police cars, with the very loud outside bell, and of course, the Citroen 2 CV!    :D

Didn't the little Wolsley badge on the radiator light up when the side lights came on?
I've always been a gadget man.   L0 ;D

Yes it did. Noticeable in the night scenes in the old black & white films made at Pinewood Studios.

I noticed in the film clips the gaping holes where the starting handle went!  When did starting handles become extinct?
