Has anyone else noticed the P at the beginning of Coronation St lately it stands for Product placement.  Well it's driving me to distraction as I now spend the entire episode looking for the products placed on the sets  :rage: As yet I have not seen one.  I bet it won't belong before advertisers really push the boat out and a conversation between Roy and Hayley Cropper goes something like:
Roy:      Hayley your hair looks very shiny this morning
Hayley: Why thank you Roy I'm using the new Pantene extra shine shampoo.
You mark my words product placement is just the beginning  :twoface:

Will look, although I am usually busy ranting about that b**@* woman who chucks peas all over the floor and gets her equally lunatic friend to spin her around on the table GRRRRR

Pantene caused havoc on here a few weeks ago, he seems to have left now though!  ;D

How much does a Cockney pay to have his hair done?
Pantene!

I'll get my coat!

Nah!  Speakin' fluent Cockney, like wot I does, I don't see the joke there - if there is one, that is!    >>>

See Llechwedd I would never have noticed that, as I was looking for brands like "Kelloggs" or "Coke" or maybe branded drinks in the Rovers  ;D
Oh and SDQ let me help you with your coat  :twoface:

We have been doing exactly the same, scanning the entire episode for 'placed product' ... we have never seen one either!

We noticed a Kelloggs box, but it was discreetly pointing the other way, so that can't have been it.

Shortened text

This is when your mates or kids send you text with initials instead of words, I hate it, spending at least 5mins totaly bewildered trying to desipher what they mean?

Ones like:
TTFN = Ta Ta For Now
TY     = Thank You
LOL   = Laugh Out Loud.
Well I've come up with a couple of my own
IDUY = I Don't Understand You ?
FOTP = F**k Off Text Properly!!

LOL IM WIV U ON THAT 1 M8

Seriously though, I reckon mobile phones and texting will bring the downfall of civilisation ... the messages are so impersonal and open to misunderstanding.
Addiction to Facebook and other sites is also a bloody annoying and dangerous thing.

A bloke thing.......

Why do blokes when come home from work always insist on watching cr*p like The Professionals, Minder or worse Bat man.  ???  Not only that why do they then find it impossible to sit on the couch without falling asleep and snoring !!  I thought only kids grabbed a nap......................well I guess that answers that then  ;D

Friends had product placement in every single episode - never affected the story or comedy one bit in my opinion and nor should it
