What ever happened to the cracklings that one could get from the Fish and Chip shop?    ;D
Do you mean the bags of tiny bits of batter that you used to be able to get
we used to call them scratchings in brum

Yes the're the things.  What do mean by bags?  When I was a kid we got everything served in newspaper.  That's how we got to know what was happening in the World.   >>>

Not in my day, some actually made a cone as in the photograph out of a sheet of newspaper.  It was much later when all this 'elf 'n safety started that they had to start using clean paper before the newspaper.  Now there is no newspaper at all which why my Intelligence quotient has gone down.     L0L

If you order a Chinese take-away for tomorrow at 6.20pm
you don't expect to receive it tonight at 11pm grrrrr
Waiting with baited breathe and a rumbling tum to see if they deliver tonight

They give you so much to avoid you complaining about them NOT giving you enough!   $dins$ $dins$ $dins$

When I get that full (which I do regularly) I hate myself, and vow to go on an immediate diet.

Then the next morning I'm starving!

Personally, I wouldn't freeze unused Chinese food from a takeaway.    ££$

Just have to be very careful with freezing food that may have previously been frozen e.g.prior to heating in the takeaway.  A lot of these meals are now produced centrally and frozen or chilled before being "cooked".   Re-freezing rice in particular is regarded as being quite dangerous from a health point of view.

Not just my opinion.

Not just my opinion.

The rice thing is one of the biggest causes of food poisoning, apparently.  The dual risks of freezing then re-heating a Chinese takeaway are that toxins are formed and spores - which normally don't hurt you - can be 'heat shocked' to become vegetative bacterial cells which can cause nasty illnesses.

I'm probably the only person who's never ate any of this Chinese, indian stuff, I've just never fancied it at all.
