Lorri has emailed some photos of her Grandfather and Father to put on the Forum.

"the man on the boat and with the bike is my dads dad JIM BARR and the guy in the white apron is my dad jimmy barr when he was working at the imperial hotel about 1959."

Looking at the pics, the one in the boat was taken at Conwy Quay, as you can see the Cob in right background.

TonyF has sent me this photo from 1958 of a Jolly Boys Outing from the Labour Club to the Rudyard Hotel in Leeks, Staffs. Tony would like to know if anyone recognises any of the men in the photo?

Hi Barbiroli,
It would be the Llandudno branch as far as I can remember although my Dad did work in Hotpoint but as far as I know he and my Mother were members of the Llandudno branch in Madoc Street?? . My Dad, also long gone, is rear second row second from the right.

I remember Gwilym too, he was a lovely guy but an awful golfer. His daughter Sharron beat him in her very first round at Maesdu!

You're right, it was in Madoc Street, where the ROAB Club is now.

Evan Thomas is third from the left in the back row. I know the two on the right end of the top row too - the one second from the end was a smashing bloke but I can't bring his name to mind. The one in the white jumper is very familiar and I'm sure was well known in town.

Is that Teddy Grace in the white jumper? In the Cross Keys darts team photo that's our Joe (Stallard) on the right of the group. I'm sure the man second from the right in the back row worked on the gas (Bob?).  )*)&
