THANK YOU : Officers from Regulatory and Housing Services at Conwy County Borough Council took part in a Charity Football Match in aid of their chosen charity of the year - St David’s Hospice. It was Officers v Managers and raised £230 in total.

St David’s Hospice currently require volunteer drivers for Day Care patients from Penmaenmawr, Llanfairfechan and Betws Y Coed. Daycare is open Tuesdays to Friday and generally patients would need to be collected from their home once a week at 10am and again from the Hospice, Llandudno at approx. 3.30pm. Drivers can claim petrol expenses. Call 01492 879058 and ask for Janet.

Stock Appeal: St David’s Hospice is in need of good quality donations to sell in our charity shops; CDs, DVDs, clean clothing for all ages, toys and games, household items and linens, jewellery, small electrical items in working order and small items of furniture. Please drop your donations off at our Distribution Centre, Unit 8, Roger Mostyn Court, Builder Street, Llandudno 01492 878935.

The annual Circus Starr Winter Tour is coming to Llandudno Town Hall on Thursday 14th February (two shows 4.45pm & 7pm). Witness hilarious comedy sequences from Circus Starr’s clowns whose side splitting routines will keep everyone entertained from the youngest to the eldest in the audience. Fluffy ears at the ready! The St David’s Hospice Bunny Fun Run is taking place on Sunday 17th March on Llandudno Promenade. Fun for all the family. ‘Bunnies’ can choose to run or walk the 4km / 2.5 miles. The event starts at the paddling pool to cenotaph (return) Entry fee: £10 Adults & £5 Children (plus sponsorship). Ears will be provided, although fancy dress is optional. Everyone will receive a chocolate egg at the finishing line. There will be lots of prizes for smartest & fastest bunnies! A Dragon Boat Festival is a unique event to be held at The Marine Lake, Rhyl in aid of St David’s Hospice. We hope you will join in the fun by entering a team in the Festival. This fantastic day will see teams of 12 to 20 people racing 40 foot long Hong Kong Dragon Boats down Marine Lake in Rhyl to be crowned champions at the end of the day. Professionally run by Dragon Boat Events, it is your chance to compete in one of Britain’s most unique water sport activities, where the emphasis throughout the day is on challenge, team building, fundraising and of course…FUN! Looking for a half term activity? The hilarious characters from the Circus Starr winter show are entertaining the audience at the Llandudno Town Hall today (Thurs). There are two shows, 4.45pm and 7pm. The event is raising money for St David’s Hospice. Tickets are available on the door. For further information contact Circus Starr on 01260 288690.

The four star Imperial Hotel in Llandudno are organising a St David’s Day Lunch in aid of St David’s Hospice. The exclusive lunch on Friday 1st March with guest speaker Justin Albert, Director for National Trust Wales starts at 12.45pm. Justin promises to be enlightening and informative having had a long and distinguished career in broadcasting and documentary film production in America. Since returning to Wales in 2008 Justin became founder of the Hay Castle Trust, is vice president of the Hay Literary Festival and the Brecon Jazz Festival, worked with Horse and Country TV and undertook a substantial review of S4C.The lunch will be a celebration of the best of local Welsh produce with a special three course menu with coffee. Could you spare a couple of hours to help at our bag packing day in Asda? The event at the Llandudno store is supporting St David’s Hospice on St David’s day (1st March). For further information and times please contact Wendy on 01492 873665.

A knitting group is being held at the Llandudno Junction Community Centre (Old Hotpoint Club) to help raise money for St David’s Hospice.  Learn to knit and receive patterns and weekly tasks. The items will be for sale in the Llandudno Junction Hospice shop. The next meeting is this Saturday (23rd) 10am – 12noon. For information call: 07761081654.

Thank you : Fern Maddock from Old Colwyn, who works at The Bay Laser & Beauty Clinic in Colwyn Bay took part in the Twin Piers Run from Llandudno Cenotaph on the Prom to Colwyn Bay Pier, 10k and has raised £320 for St David’s Hospice.

Volunteers needed – tomorrow (1st) for the St David’s Hospice Bag Packing Day at Asda in Llandudno. Could you spare a couple of hours between 1pm - 4pm. Support St David’s Hospice on St David’s Day? If you feel you can help with this fundraising event please call Wendy on 01492 873665.

Dragon Boat Racing is an exciting and thrilling team building event, which is perfect for both men and women. With lots of drums, shouting and colourful boats, it is a vibrant day out and exciting sport both to watch and take part in. St David’s Hospice is holding their first event on Sunday 12th May on the Marine Lake, Rhyl. Why not rally together your friends and join in the fun! Zip Wire Challenge – New event for 2013! Will you take the plunge at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda for St David’s Hospice? Strap into a safety harness and leapt 700ft above the mountain lake at 75mph and fly down 1750m, the longest Zip Wire in Europe.  For an information pack call 01492 873664.

•   Thank you to everyone who supported St David’s Hospice on St David’s Day at the bag packing event in ASDA, Llandudno. A total of £1400 was generously donated by the customers through loose change.

•   Many thanks to the Consort Castell recorder group played in Colwyn Bay shopping centre on St David’s Day and raised £146.72.

•   Not long now until the St David’s Hospice Bunny Fun Run - Sunday 17th March on Llandudno Promenade. Starts 10am at the paddling pool, Craig y don.
