Yes;  we're seeing an odd thing in the sky - sun and no rain :-))

It's a rare day around the north Norfolk coast too.  Sunny, no rain and no wind!  We have had a run of pretty miserable weather here - enough to want to make me want to moan.... until I read what others in other parts of the British Isles have been suffering!  We've been fortunate and escaped the worst.

I love the huge skies you get on the North Norfolk coast, lucky you.

Funny how these things can go, hollins.  For me, I might suggest a sunset over the Great Orme is a fine sight and my mother once in a while would drive from Pydew round Marine Drive if it looked like being a good one, but yes the North Norfolk coast can be nice in its own ways too.

And... I don't think I've done it but my current area, and if you do get that way, Sheringham mountain (or as my mother may sometimes refer to it as a comparison with the Welsh mountains, bump or mole hill) is reputed to be a good spot for a sunset.

Mine and my mothers circumstances have changed in ways that we could not do this now but in early days here, we had a walk along the beach from Cley toward Blakeney and saw seals seemingly swimming out to see what we were on our last little bit.  I don't think we went that far - but as far as I remember, you need to watch the tides on that last bit we took. Water can quickly build up behind you/ shore side. I think perhaps ankle deep when we turned back but it's not difficult to imagine someone could get stranded.

I was indeed Hollins, but somewhat typically it was the one day I had forgotten my camera!   :rage:

Thanks very much for those comforting words Mull,     &shake&

It's already started to get windier here and I was going to take my dog on the beach but thought better of it with all that sand blowing about.
He had to settle for a walk around here instead.

Hi Hugo,
Why dont you swap him for a camel.
Be able to take you for a ride around West Shore.

Still not been out of the house here, blowing Force 9/10 with heavy rain. Fly(my dog) is keeping her legs crossed.
Just been on AIS watching Islay Lifeboat 17-08 west of Tiree . rescue been going on since 0100 in very challenging conditions.
