The correct answer was to stop immediately because there is something seriously wrong with your car, tyre about to burst or something.

I must admit, Mike, I did find your answer rather perplexing. It conjured up this image of a bloke with flames shooting out of his exhaust, dense black smoke billowing behind with scraps of tyre detaching as he approached this bend on the corner of a very high precipice and the only response of the observant AA man was to studiously check his fingernails  L0L L0L L0L

I was also envisaging the number of drivers screeching to a halt each time they saw an AA chappie who had merely gone to answer the call of nature and was still making himself presentable.

I was cursing my way around M&S in Llandudno on Friday because of the inflated prices of the items of Mother's Day interest. I often like to buy the spring bouquet which is normally £6 in M&S and £3 in Asda. Asda didn't have any and on Friday the M&S ones were £10!
So I get to the queue dejected without my flowers. What is it about the M&S queue in M&S? I think it must make me invisible. On this occasion I was behind two ladies shopping together. They decided to queue separately in two queues but when one was moving faster than the other one said to the other, "I'll go before you then" to her friend. This meant I was then behind them both, aaargh!
Anyway all was well when I arrived eventually at the till point because there were these gorgeous Autograph parrot tulips for £5.
Rant over.

Hollins, I believe you will need to become more assertive when faced with a queuing situation,

A simple, 'excuse me, I think you will find that that THIS is a separate queue' might suffice.

I prefer the more direct, 'Oi, out of it Mrs,... you are out of order'

Seriously though, there are so many ignorant and inconsiderate folk around these days.

Fantastic News Folks.

I want you all to share in my good fortune. I received a very sad 2nd class letter through Royal Mail today telling me a distant relative with almost the same name as mine had died after being caught up in the Fukushima Tsunami.

So sad poor old Ryan dead and gone before I even had a chance to meet him.

However the good news is his estate has almost $30 Million in it and is currently sitting unclaimed in the China Everbright Bank in Hong Kong. As he just happened to die intestate a very nice man called Giichiro Harada has offered to split the money 50 – 50 with me.

Just in case any of your unknown relatives were caught up in the same disaster I’ll give you Mr Harada’s details  Tel +81-5031366194  Fax +81-368002896  Email ggiichiroharadaa@aol.jp
I cant supply an address as the letter was not headed and he didn't provide any further details.

Personally, I would demand a better split of the cash and ask for two thirds rather than a measly 50%. The money just doesn't go anywhere these days.   :D

I have just sent the following email.
I wonder if I will receive a reply?

Hi Mr Harada

I understand you have a need for assistance in dealing with an amount of approximately $30,000,000.  I am quite willing to assist and would ask you to contact me to discuss the matter.

Anyone thinking of replacing their computer should seriously consider a Mac. Not only do they consistently come out at the top of every Which? report (and have done for years) but the build quality is excellent, they supply a huge pile of outstandingly useful programs with each mac and they are the only consumer electronics giant to post on their website the Sale of Goods Acts rights in the UK.

Here is the reply I have received from Mr Harada.  I am perplexed, it all sounds Sooooooo genuine!  I need advice, what SHALL I do?   :D :D :D :P $good$ ;D ;) ZXZ Z** _))* _))* L0L L0L

My Dear Yorkie,

How are you today? I hope you are fine.

Thank you for your response and I am indeed happy you have received my letter as I have been waiting for this reply and good to hear from you.I get your address in the course of searching for a known relative through our search agent here in Japan, rather  your last name has made it possible for us to come together and carry out this pending business transaction while we anticipate on sharing some decent money.I will state the very crucial issues here so you can understand clearly what we are going to do to make this transaction a successful one.

These details are for you to understand this intended project. In everything one does with another, there must be a meeting of minds. Without us both seeing and assessing the situation through the same lenses there cannot and will never be success or progress. So as we say here “thoroughness is what is needed here".

I need you to follow and adhere to my every instruction and do exactly as I will advise for success to be gained. You must let me direct this project for us to achieve step by step the anticipated procedures to ensure the success, this is non-negotiable my friend as we go into partnership. It is when there is no leadership and no meeting of minds that there are problems in partnership like this.

Everything is going to be done in sequence. I will imagine that the whole process should take about two to three weeks before the money will be released and transferred to any designated Bank account of yours. At this stage I have exclusive access to the files of late Ryan.

I will be instructing a solicitor here to prepare all the relevant documents relating to this matter in your name. This will then be put in my file and presented to my bank (Shonai Bank, Japan). It will then be assessed, Approved and then authorization given to China Everbright Bank, Hong Kong to make payment to you. Please this is very important and your total commitment is what is desired. I will be speaking to you only and when necessary as this is a precaution. Most communication will be done via email.

China Everbright Bank, Hong Kong will be contacting you to inform you that money has been left behind for you. You are not contacting the bank or anybody so you are doing absolutely nothing wrong or taking any risk. The only person who could have disputed this is long gone. You must understand why there must be SERIOUS CONFIDENTIALITY about this whole process. China Everbright Bank is a specialist bank, which deals with high net worth individuals and giant corporations. I have my contact there to make sure that nothing goes wrong. As soon as My Bank (Shonai Bank,Japan) has gone through all formalities with your file, we will instruct China Everbright Bank to make payments to you.

You shall be required to reconfirm to me some important details of yours for the documentation process which has to contain your correct and exact details. As soon as I have made the necessary amendments, you will become the legal beneficiary. China Everbright bank, Hong Kong will be getting intouch with you.

I want you to reconfirm your address as at 2009/2010.This information is needed to ensure that the documentation corresponds with the period of transaction.

Please provide the following information:

1.Your Full Names(Already have it but please reconfirm).
2.Your Address IN FULL(Where you reside as at 2009/2010,so it correspond with the paper work to be done).
3.Telephone Numbers: (Home/Office and Mobile).
4.Fax Number (If Any).
5.Company Name(If Any).
6.Occupation:
7.Any form of ID. (Scan copy of Int.Passport or Driver’s License.

My friend please let us be positive and show discretion as we both make one of the most fruitful steps of our lives. My spoken English is not too good, however I believe you will understand me when we speak. I will be putting great trust in you and you as well in me, and as long as we work closely together success is definitely ours. Thank you for your positive response.

I wait your response.

Best Regards

Giichiro  Harada

Of course, I will reply, but only after I have left him to sweat for a good while.  Maybe send him a few teasers in the meantime.    :D

Hmmm.  Classier than the usual Nigerian scam, anyway. It looks at this stage as though they're more after your identity, whereas the Nigerian scam asked for money upfront.  One note of caution: I'm sure you're using a disposable email address, but it might be worth (if you haven't already) employing a VPN.
