Hi!
No it was in the block where Holland and Barratt is now, and before they remodeled it. The other  shop was down the road somewhere near the church or Bog Island. It was a narrow shop, if I remember selling mostly fashion jewellery. The shop in the H and B block was a gift/ toy shop selling lots of different lines.

I'm still hoping someone will remember the 2 shops I mentioned in my previous post. I remember them from the mid 1960's, just can't get the name.

From Swiss snow to Snowdrops!
Lovely to get back home to masses of snowdrops and the farmer putting out the new lambs.

Just walked in to the coffee centre to ask a stupid question. But I've been taken by the lovely photo of the snowdrops by Hollins. Always the very first signs that spring is on its way.

But, the stupid question. Just for a coffee house laugh.

Not cross but both are actually correct, it's just that you are looking for someone else.   I'll rack my brains and try agin.    :D

So I'll now try Garçon Culotte.

I don't know about your three answers. But mine is much simpler. Its only FOUR letters.
   Now thats a good clue.

If you still don't get it, THINK about it over your breakfast tomorrow.Mike  (all in good fun, I hope)

So, you've had an hour. I'm afraid Ive got to go ---- NO, not to bed. But never mind, I suppose you are all too young, Yorkie included.
  The answer is

MR O K         (the saucy boy)

It was a very well known advertising phrase before they were even known in the U K

Don't know where you got that from Mike!  No trace in the history of the maker referring to MR OK, or in the adverts.  But the you're a bit older than I!!!!   ;D  The link is to a selection of the adverts.

Gosh u have worked hard on this. I accept that memory, or lack of it, has played a part. From Master Okay to Mr O.K. in around 70 or so years!!
On a more serious point----and this might avoid any dispute in the future.
In a quiz like this, using words rather than photos. In this case I asked the question, Yorkie replied, and I wrote WRONG on both --- later three.
Ive thought about this and I was incorrect and owe Yorkie an apology. When I said WRONG, I really meant he hadnt given the answer I was looking for. His replies were not wrong at all. Perhaps this should be born in mind by everyone in future. Ive no doubt that there are plenty of saucy boys around apart from Master Okay.
I should have been the last person around to make this error.
About 12 years ago a young footballer playing for England scored a fantastic goal.Actually he lives in North Wales. I lost count of the number of times I heard a group say "I wish we could meet him". After I introduced myself by name I pointed out I was the ORIGINAL version. Still waiting for them to buy ME a drink. Signed MICHAEL OWEN

Bradford City Football Club have become the first team (from the 4th division) in over 50 years to battle their way to a major cup final.
They dispensed with the multimillionaire teams of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Wigan from the Premier League on the way.

Now, it seems that they can not go wrong in the final against Swansea City, as they have been blessed by his serene holiness, The Dalai Lama!  See below.
