The Links Hotel, Llandudno will be host to a Motown and Disco Night this Saturday (6th) with Dave Hanson and John Ivor playing the all-time favourites. There will be a bbq and raffle with donations to St David’s Hospice. 8pm ‘til late. Free entry

The first ever St David’s Hospice Strictly Come Dancing Evening is on Friday 12th October at the Ffrith Beach Arena, Prestatyn. It will be a night of top class competition dancers and the opportunity to become the judge. Starts 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 or £15 with coach travel. Creepy Crawly Fun for all the family is happening on Friday 26th October at the RunWales Fun Run. The event will start at 6pm and follow the Llandudno Promenade. All entrants receive a spooky t-shirt and entry to the post-run disco at Bodafon Farm. Entry Fee is £12 for adults and £8 children. No Age restrictions. With over 230 stores – The Hospice Trafford Centre coach trip on Thursday 15th November is an opportunity to shop all day, treat yourself, or get Christmas presents sorted. The tickets are £15 and pick up points are from Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay and Rhos on Sea. To book your place today please call the fundraisers on 01492 873665.

To date the Dawn Walk 2012 has raised £14,000 so far! Sponsorship money is still coming in, and it is hoped to reach over £15,000 - Thank you to everyone who has taken part. We will update you on the final figure as soon as all sponsorship has come in. Sponsorship can be dropped off at St David’s Hospice Abbey Rd, Llandudno

•   Strictly Come Dancing fever hits this Friday (12th) at the Ffirth Beach Arena, Prestatyn to raise funds for St David’s Hospice. It will be a night of top class competition dancers. With plenty of entertainment with the exhibition dances. The audience will get to vote and choose the winner. The dance floor is open to all before and after the competition. Starts 7.30pm – midnight. Tickets available on the door £10 or in advance from 01492 873674.

•   Witches, ghosts and ghouls will be making their way to Llandudno Promenade to take part in the RunWales event on Friday 26th October. The Creepy Crawly fun run starts 6pm and is fun for all the family (no age restrictions). Entry fee is £12 for adults and £8 for children, which includes a spooky t-shirt and entry into the disco at the Bodafon farm afterwards. Sponsorship optional. •   Book your ticket today to avoid disappointment for the annual St David’s Hospice Trafford Centre coach trip on Thursday 15th November. The coach picks up from Llandudno ( the Hospice 9am), Penrhyn Bay (9.15am) and Rhos on Sea (9.20am). The coach arrives at Trafford Centre for plenty of shopping time. Ideal for Christmas shopping, meeting friends or just to spoil yourself. To book your place (£15) now call 01492 873674.

•   Once again, St David’s is running its ‘Share a Card’ scheme again this year and has produced one big Christmas card for use in staff rooms, offices, schools and community groups. It is a very simple. The card is free standing or can be pinned on a display board in a communal area, along with a small donation box (all supplied free of charge).
Instead of individuals sending separate cards to colleagues and friends, people can express their festive good wishes on the card, in return for a donation to St David’s Hospice. For your ‘Share a Card’ pack call 01492 873665.

•   ‘Come Dine at Mine’ is an exciting way to raise money for St David’s whilst socialising with your friends and family. With staying in the ‘new’ going out in these tough economic times, look no further than your dining room table for an entertaining night of great company and home-made food. Invite your friends over for a party or a sit down meal with you and kindly ask them to make a donation. You can be as creative or as formal as you wish. 15th October 2012PHOTO:  Hospice supporter, Carol Thorne of Llanrhos has raised £470 for St David’s Hospice through the sell of her photographs and cards.  She has sold them at car boot sales, fetes and fairs throughout year. She will be also having a stall at the Hospice Christmas Fair on the 24th November.  Carol would like to thank everyone who has supported her in her fundraising.

PHOTO:  Thank you to the Movers ‘n’ Shakerz zumba group who organised a zumbathon on Llandudno Promenade in aid of the Hospice. Despite the cold weather, the energetic girls raised over £600.

•   The St David’s Hospice Tree of Lights is a beautiful way to remember a loved one at Christmas time. The trees, located in Rhos on Sea and Llandudno, have many lights that shine out over the season. You can dedicate a light in return for a donation to St David’s Hospice ( no min. amount) The trees are switched on at two ceremonies ; Rhos on Sea on Sunday 25th November 4.30pm, Llandudno  - Saturday 15th  December 4.15pm. This year, the St David’s Hospice Tree of Lights dedication form is available online at www.stdavidshospice.org.uk or call 01492 873665.

•   Thank you Andrew Humphreys and friends who held a Come Dine at Mine evening for St David’s Hospice raising £200.
Why not hold your own dinner party and help raise money for St David's Hospice! With staying in being the new going out, look no further than your dining room table for an entertaining night of great company and homemade food. Come Dine at Mine is a great way of raising money for your local adult Hospice, while socialising with your family and friends. Invite your friends over for a party or a sit down meal with you and kindly ask them to make a donation to St David's Hospice; or simply ask your loved ones to sponsor you! You can be as creative or as formal as you wish. From pizza parties to fancy dress murder mysteries, the possibilities are endless!

•   The Hospice is organising a coach trip to the Trafford Centre on Thursday 15th November. There are convenient pick up points in Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay and Rhos on Sea. It is a shopper’s paradise, containing all the major high street department stores and chains with a gigantic dining hall with plenty of places to relax and have a meal. Ideal for a day out with friends. For tickets (£15 each) call 01492 873674.

•   The festive Christmas Fair is at the Hospice (Abbey Rd, Llandudno) on Sat 24th November (10am – 2pm). Admission: adults £1 children 50 ( incl. free Santa’s grotto).The fundraising team would be very grateful for donations of items to be sold at the fair including; handmade and knitted items, cakes, books, children’s toys, jewellery, bottles for the tombola and raffle prizes. All donations should be dropped off at the hospice itself or call: 01492 873665.

•   Many thanks to Nettie Jones & Megan McVey who organised a Bridge Afternoon on 18th October at Rhos on Sea Golf Club. They raised £267. Thank you to Robin Jones at Rhos on Sea Golf Club for kindly donating all refreshments and Maureen Harrison who helped with the organisation also to everyone who donated raffle prizes and supported the event.
