You could also play a few games on the iPad in between bites!    ZXZ

Yes, If I had an ipad,   sadly any games I get to play are on an archaic iphone.  :(

The iPad has more room for a BIG Dictionary!   May be of help to you.   :D

Was that the one?  Not Yorkie with a BIG Y or a little y.   Only Admin have power of removal.

Yep, I agree, Fester is a nice, pleasant guy, and worthy of all the adulation poured upon him.   $good$

ACAB in an acronym for all cop(per)s are illegitimate.  I think at the time someone objected to the general slur.   ZXZ

This is the view of the rather unusual ceiling at the Old Stag, Llangernyw but don't let it put you off! We had a delicious lunch of duck pate/Cornish sardines (starters) followed by slow roasted brisket of beef. Really good value at £12.95 for two courses.

Trip to Llandudno last week ended up as a day trip due to family commitments.
After a trip up the Orme to visit the family graves last Friday, followed by a walk around the top of the Orme, we set off to the town to find something to eat at 1800 hours.
As expected everywhere was busy and being unable to find a parking space at the Kings Head then found a space on Mostyn Street.
Decided to try Wetherspoons, managed to find a table for 2 looking back towards the balconies, memories of up in the gods about 1955/6 to see the Dam Busters.
Wife and I decided on the Fish Supper so went, to the bar to order. Told by the young lady only fish left was Scampi. By this time I was not in the best of moods and decided to find somewhere else to eat. Place was like a mad house.Tried a place on Mostyn Street  ? American diner , Queue was out of the door so decided not to bother.

Remembering a Fish & Chip shop we used to go when staying with my mother and father when they lived at West Shore we headed for Deganwy, and we found a Gem.

Harbour View Restaurant, Deganwy, ............Fish & Chips ,Mushy peas, Bread and Butter, Pot of tea, all served at the table by staff who looked pleased to serve us. I cannot recomend this place enough.

Put a smile on our face.

A little way out of the area but the White House in Rhuallt is worth a visit.   It's now bypassed by the A55 and therefore out of sight of passing motorists but I saw it for the first time in over 20 years when I had a walk near Rhuallt.    It looked very impressive from the outside so my wife and I thought that we would give it a go and tried the Early Doors menu which gives you two courses for £13.95.
The place is equally impressive inside and the place has a 5 star food hygeine rating which is always a good sign.
After looking at the menu for a while we both decided to have the Pork and Cider pie but then the waiter came past with a Homemade
beefburger which looked delicious so we changed our mind and enjoyed that instead.
I chose the Baileys cheesecake with vanilla ice cream for dessert and Mrs H enjoyed the Rhubarb frangipane tart with vanilla ice cream and apple puree
 $good$     $dins$

Great photo Hugo. I have known this building for over 60 years, first in passing and then later occasionally having a meal. It was always a "roadhouse." Looked like one and was one.
By outside appearances it has certainly changed

2 good reports this week about the Queen Vic.

Yet, other previous regulars now won't go near the place.
Not sure why,  so I'll have to pop in and judge for myself.
