Wrex - I think it might be old Red Shop next to the Albert.  Good news if someone is taking it on as its been empty for ages.

Mr.B's has a half page ad in the Pioneer, advertising for fathers day and their new summer menu.  They may of course still be laying some staff off....... ££$

That advert was most probably already paid for.  I'll try and find out a time scale for the closure and all the staff were told to start looking for new jobs.......

I popped in there for a coffee the other day and the place has a nice relaxed atmosphere.   It's been a while since I've had a meal there but the food looked good as it went past.

We have eaten at the Groes many times over the last 40 years, and its food quality and standard of service has always been superb.  We have tended to eat in the Bar unless it has been a gathering with friends, when the Restaurant has been more suitable.   We haven't been for a few months so this has been a timely reminder that we must make a visit very soon.    ZXZ

Strange but I keep noticing on the scores on the doors web site The London has no score . The web site keeps saying it is due to be tested or visited on a particular day this if followed by a notice saying awaiting inspection then a few days late when you look for a result the whole process starts again with the message saying awaiting inspection and a new inspection date. Bit like a broken record. Any ideas anyone got any thoughts

Think Dr Jones or Dr death as is otherwise known is not been long for this world since it opened. Too many pubs up the street or maybes just unscrupulous operators. These days if you pay top dollar for your drink you want the service and atmosphere to go with it

I've heard many good reports about Bunker's Bistro in Conwy Old Road Penmaenmawr ( near the Golf Course) so we stopped for lunch there on our way home.
It had a lovely warm  friendly atmosphere  and we really enjoyed the food and the panoramic views from the Bistro.   Prices were very reasonable too.      $good$
