First time for everything, mate.  $good$

I don't believe that somebody is special because of a title (which in itself is a ridiculous concept) or who their parents are. A meritocracy is far preferable.

Hmmm...like Politics, perhaps? But glad to hear you're all for moving us to communism, the central stanchion of which is its pure meritocratic structure...

No organisation comprised of humans can surely ever have the pure meritocratic structure you mention. The less desirable human qualities, e.g. greed, envy etc will always get in the way, rendering communism as flawed in practice as any other system.

I recall seeing the historian David Starkey once denouncing his fellow panellists on Question Time as only being in their positions because of their parents.  None of them was an hereditary peer but they included people like David Dimbleby (son of Richard and brother of Jonathan). Interestingly, Starkey stood out from the others because he was gay, a Tory, from a one-parent family and grew up on a northern council estate.

From today all food outlets in Wales are legally obliged to prominently display their food hygiene ratings.  That won't be good news for the Elsinore Hotel, Fish & Chips (the one in Chapel Street), Jade Garden in the Junction, Cadwgan Bakery in Old Colwyn and Chrissie's Kitchen in Conwy which are all currently listed as 0 out of 5 on the "scores on the doors" website  :-[.

There's also quite a few well known names still one scoring one or two, including the Quay Hotel.

How can they be allowed to trade if they have scored 0 out of 5?  ???

I believe if you score 0 you get a follow up visit shortly after and if score 0 second time around you get closed down.

But I suppose the point of this new law if that anyone who does score a 0 will either have to buck up their ideas or they'll close down anyway because nobody will eat there.
