Just to say that a week after it opened with the novelty value of a new pub opening, the Albion in Conwy is serving consistently good beer with a nice atmosphere.

It is exactly what Conwy needs and I hope that it continues the way it has started.

Went to Conwy this morning to give the Bus Pass a run out. Weather was a bit iffy so thought of Bosun's comments on the Albion and decided to give it a try. 12:05 pm doors locked lights off and no sign of life. Thats not the way to get customers. If they keep it up they will soon be out of business

Work on the conversion of Burtons into Caffe Nero is reaching a peak, there must have been 20 contractors on site today:

Messed my reply up re the Albion being closed. Sorry. Too much vino  Z**

I don't think they open until 5pm.

Even though it is half term week it will not be worth opening any earlier. Too many pubs and not enough customers even if they served food.

Been there and got the t shirt

On the couple of evenings this week in the early evening that I have been in the Albion, they have had more customers than you would normally see in a pub at that time, especially at this time of year, and they say they are getting of to an excellent start. The beer remains consistently good, the open fires lit and a decent welcome from the staff. Very pleasant.

The Grand Opening of Fry-Days Fish and Chip Shop at 101 Llandudno Road, Penrhryn Bay will be on Friday, 24 February.

This was Pedro's 101 Cafe.
