One of the mobile phone shops in the Victoria Centre is now showing as being available in the commercial property listings.  :(

The mobile phone shops in the VC never look busy.
On the other hand, the old Homestyle shop (near Gareth Roberts Opticians), in Mostyn St looks like it is well racked out, and not far from opening.  I hope its not just a seasonal or Xmas shop.

A KEBAB house has been refused permission to extend its opening hours until 2am because of complaints from members of the public about noise from the premises.

And North Wales Police also objected to the application from Zak’s Kebab in Llandudno’s Upper Mostyn Street which at present has to close at midnight.

Inspector Ian Verburg commented: “The premises were recently prosecuted for selling beyond hours. The police and Licensing Department have concerns over the current running of the establishment. Views of local residents were also taken into account, and as a result, a reasoned argument was put before the magistrates who refused the extended hours application.”

No one at Zak’s was available to comment, but Peter Garwood of the Upper Mostyn Street Access Group, said businesses and residents were pleased the application had been refused.

“It will help reduce noise pollution in the early hours,” he said.

I was sad to see that the Little Deli in Upper Mostyn Street is up for sale.

It has been up for sale for quite a while now hasn't it?

Emma Baravelli and her husband work very hard and long hours, it is hard to see how the business could be improved.

It has, but they've chosen to mention it on Facebook themselves now. They are going to set up a specialist chocolate business, I believe.

Chocolate?  then why were they on the pier throwing dozens of lemons up in the air the other day, with a crew of photographers accompanying them?

I was in Bangor today and noticed that a branch of Republic had recently opened. They would be ideal for the old Next shop on Mostyn Street, I'd have thought?

It appears that the old Going Places shop opposite the former Woolies has been let. The windows are now papered over and there are people working inside. Another boost for that end of town.
