Tal-y-Cafn pub to reopen after sale to popular pub and restaurant chain
The pub in the Conwy Valley closed last November but a new buyer has been found.

They have secured a business rates reduction for the pub - and it is now being sold to Imagine Inns.
The pub chain operates at four locations in the North West of England - in some cases transforming sites and their fortunes.

We haven't had a meal in a cafe since before the first lockdown, so our visit to Marmalade's in Rhos on Sea yesterday was a bit strange.   However as soon as we went in to the place we felt at ease straight away
The place is as safe as anyone can make it and the staff were very friendly and helpful and the meal was as tasty as we remembered the meals to be.
It was good to see that the place was busy too       $good$

BUILDING work has started on a new McDonald's in Llandudno.

The existing McDonald's restaurant on Mostyn Champney Retail Park will be moving into the new larger site, being built next to Iceland.

A McDonald's spokesperson confirmed to the Pioneer: "We are excited that building work has begun on a new site within the Mostyn Champney Retail Park, which our existing restaurant will be moving to in the Summer.”

The existing restaurant, opposite Argos, is set to be demolished.

Johnny Dough's pizza chain is opening two new sites in North Wales while the owner also plans a new concept.

The brand started up in a mobile pizza van in 2015 and opened the first restaurant in Llandudno the following year.
Two years later they took on the Bridge pub in Conwy in a partnership with the four breweries that own the pub.

Now they plan to open in Colwyn Bay and Penmaenmawr - both at former butchers' stores.
