Fester, I do agree with you re Romeo's.  Friends and family used to enjoy going there but in the last year or so some favourites have disappeared off the menu, the prices are regularly "reviewed" (upwards!) and the quality of food has sadly declined. We now prefer to go to Tops or La Taverna instead.

I've never been but I'm looking forward to going to Romeo's as it's one of the very few places in town with a decent vegetarian menu. By vegetarian I don't just mean the normal main course with the meat taken out, like some establishments seem to think is ok  &shake&

Had a very mixed week of reports from guests.

Wildwood--not good
Wetherspoons--food ok, but many tables not cleared.
Snooze--good.
Empire-- The biggest Lamp Shink he had ever seen.
The last one was a German couple.!
Mad, Bad and Dangerous to know.

Hollins, here's another place for you to try out and you and action man can have a go on the zip wire afterwards.     $good$

Thanks Hugo.
Not sure action man is too keen on the Zip Wire experience. I did ask him once but he winced when I told him the price! The friends of ours that stayed at the Harlech Castle apartments went on the Velocity ride and thought it was fantastic.
As far as the new restaurant is concerned maybe it will be a way of getting something different to eat because the skip menu is still largely unchanged. Bit further to travel to the new place though.
Let me know if you try it.

I may have a meal there in the future but there is no way on earth that I'll have a go on that zip wire.       I don't think the old ticker or the wallet could stand it.      ;D

We popped into Providero in Upper Mostyn Street yesterday for some coffee & cake. Coffee was very good, as was the cake, and a nice atmosphere in there.

Been in twice, and I think it's overrated and pretentious.
Tables full of people occupying them for an eternity, glued to their iPads, making no conversation.. and spending very little.
I'm probably too OLD for that particular place.

Dinner at Johnny Dough's last night - absolutely spot on again and surprisingly busy for a Monday evening. The extension has been completed and the business looks to be thriving, great place.
After all what is time, a mere tyranny.

We visited Bryn Williams' restaurant at Porth Eirias on Sunday morning to try their cooked Welsh Breakfast. Not cheap (£7.95), but delicious! Great place to have breakfast and enjoy the view.  $good$
