All pubs, bars and restaurants ordered to close
Boris Johnson has just announced that all leisure premises must close

Boris Johnson has ordered that all pubs, bars and restaurants must close.

He said the move is necessary to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

And he pleaded with people not to take the opportunity to go out tonight for a last opportunity to socialise.

The move comes as the country continues to battle to Covid-19 outbreak.

He asked that all such premises close tonight, as soon as possible, and do not re-open tomorrow.

Restaurant and bar plan for Colwyn Bay's 'hip street' - with UK pizza chain among those interested
This is the latest proposal for Penrhyn Road which has transformed itself in recent years.

Plans are in for a new restaurant and bar at a former bank site on an up and coming street that has been transformed in recent years.
Penrhyn Road in Colwyn Bay has reinvented itself over the last five years with new bars, cafes and micro-pubs opening on the street.

Despite the general gloom in the hospitality sector due to the coronavirus lockdown there is still confidence about the long term future of the road.

Probably the same people who park at Snowdonia, leave litter on the beaches, and think that social distancing is for others.

Restaurant bosses are uniting in a campaign to slash the number of no-shows as the hospitality sector faces its most challenging year in a generation.

Restaurants in Wales are slowly emerging from lockdown, with outdoor hospitality opening earlier this month and indoors due to open on August 3.
They now face a critical few months as they try to claw back losses from a five-month closure.

This has seen a No More No-Shows campaign start to tackle the issue of diners not showing up to bookings and not even bothering to cancel.
There is particular anger at the small minority who book multiple sites and then decide on the evening where to go.

Award-winning chef Jimmy Williams from Signatures restaurant, Conwy, urged people to support North Wales restaurants.
He said: “If you’ve already pre-booked with one, make sure you show up or at least notify the restaurant in advance if you’re to be absent.

A PAIR of Vaughan Street businessmen have become a trio to rejuvenate a Llandudno Venue.

Eric Ledru of coffee shop Blend and hair salon owner Clinton James have taken on 3rd Space on Clonmel Street.

The venue and eatery closed shortly before lockdown, with former chef Paul Gregson joining with the partners to bring it back into the fold as the town's second Blend.

I enjoyed a takeaway chippy meal from the Archway Chip Shop in Conwy last night and ate it on the quay.     There were many people there enjoying themselves in what is a beautiful location and to be fair although it was the busiest we had seen it for some time most people seemed to be abiding by the social distancing rules.

What happens to the Gresham and Club 147 now. HM Revenue have applied for for and been granted a High Court winding up order and appointed a Liquidator from Birkenhead.

I assume that applies to the Fat Cat Bar too, seeing as the same staff operate both bars.
I believe they were sold to a guy in Rhos who had no experience in running bars.
Look at where that gets you?

Ever since I've lived here the Gresham has struggled to be economically viable and although it has tried to reinvent itself several times, I just can't see it being a commercial success.
