So nice to see the old Ethel Austin getting a spruce up it was the worse looking out of all the empty shops.

Betty's Wool and Fabric shop looked almost empty as I drove past this morning.

I asked the guys who were doing the clean up if it was for a new tenant. They said no, it was for the Landlord, to make the place more appealing.

However I have been told by a very good source that the empty premises between Gareth Roberts and the Gold Shop will be opening in 5 to 6 weeks as a Specialty Bakers, something to look forward to.

It appears that there's a game of musical shops taking place in Colwyn Bay at the moment.  Clwyd Textiles are relocating from their currect shop at 16 Conwy Road to 79 Abergele Road.  79 Abergele Road is currently occupied by The Curtain Shop who are relocating to 41 Abergele Road which is currently occupied by Perfect Dreams.  Rooms and Blooms who vacated 80 Abergele Road last year appear to be opening a new shop at 15 Abergele Road in the old Eternal Flame Fireplace shop.  Eternal Flame have relocated to Mochdre and 80 Abergele Road has been occupied by the Green Room Jazz Cafe (nice).  The St. Kentigern Hospice shop on Seaview Road has moved from it's old premises....into the premises next door.  Bargain Booze have closed their shop at 44 Abergele Road following the opening of their new shop at 14 Abergele Road.  Hippo Toys have closed their shop on Conwy Road and relocated to Mochdre, Buckles & Laces shoe shop has a closing down sale on and the old Linneys shop on Abergele is now occupied by a mattress shop.  I think that's it!
