I am quite a fan of self check outs too, so long as they don't remove consumer choice of a manned checkout too.  I think choice is really important.

Any news on Vollams? It has been closed for the last 2 mornings at the usual 'newspaper time' and yesterday all the papers were still piled up on the doorstep at 9.15am.
I had a look, noticed that fridges and coolers were blocking 3 of the 4 doors inside (but maybe they always do?) and two of the glass panels in the doors had been smashed at some point.

Manor Fine Foods in Upper Mostyn St is closing down, they are moving the business to their other shop in St Georges Place. I enlisted the help of a passing Yorkshireman to take a photo:

No lights on when I drove past about 10 mins ago so I shouldn't make a special journey.

I have never seen anyone in the Sewing Machine shop, nor have I ever known anyone who bought anything from there.

It is one of the many shops in Llandudno that I have been mystified about how they have kept open over the years.

The so called 'Shropshire Oat Cakes' shop, (ex Fruit and Veg, Barbers, Whistle-Stop Cafe...etc.. etc...) is one that I can never understand why it has NEVER opened.   Bizarre.

I have never seen the Shopshire Oatcakes shop open. Oddly enough, if you do a search on Google, nothing comes up, just references to Staffordshire oatcakes.

According to the owner of the Oatcake shop she is in disagreement with the council.

Noticed this morning on my way home from Asda that the shop near bog island , could be called Homestyle, is also closing down.

I have shopped at the Sewing Machine shop quite a few times. Their Charlie Bear prices are comparable with the internet.
