The problem with something like the Victoria Centre is inflexibility - the rents will be set by specialist property surveyors from outside the area and there will probably be little room to negotiate. Dare I say that a local commercial agent like Colin Flannigan could do a far better job of letting the units?

M & S are trying to do what London Transport does with the tubes i.e. stay open and re-build all at once.  It's hell in there.  Why do it at the height of the summer?

The little gift shop "Unique" in Madoc Street is closing and moving to Upper Mostyn Street?  Also Top Table is going, shame as they have both tried so hard.

Amazing that the smaller Marks & Spencer was operating in near darkness today, due to some sort of problem with their power supply. For such a large retailer, they don't seem very professional - customers were wandering around in the gloom!

I noticed yesterday that Stead & Simpson on Mostyn Street has a Closing Down sale on.  Where will the good people of Llandudno go for their shoes when it closes?

Seem to remember this happened before, but it stayed open.

And that means I have the Mrs at home mithering me whilst I am doing the washing, cleaning, ironing, cooking and the thousand and one other things that a house-husband has to do!    ;)

Stead and Simpson certainly looks as though it is closing down. Shoes are reduced down to rock bottom.

I will probably be a lone voice (as usual  ;D ) but I've never seen the appeal of M & S, always seems very dear and you can't park anywhere near it. I'll stick with Asda and Tescos, both have easy parking and no big issue sellers as a bonus  $good$

You're not alone - I feel much the same way.  The only good point is that when someone gives you a present from M & S you can go and change it for something you really want!

I also use it for underpants and socks because I like the quality, and can just pick them  up, pay and it's done.  I certainly think their food is expensive as are many other non food items.  Each to his own!  :D
