PS from above............    I noticed the H. Samuel shop, being gutted this morning, everything being loaded onto vans, (which incidentally were parked on the new pavement, so hopefully no oil stains )  now rumors around that the staff were unaware of this situation, and were working as normal yesterday.          &shake&

Why did the council not take steps to stop pavement parking as part of the refurbishment such as putting bollards along the edges?

Llandudno's H Samuel jewellery store has closed suddenly
The shop on Mostyn Street had been in the town for 25 years

Llandudno landowner Mostyn Estates confirmed the lease on the store was due to expire and had not been renewed.

Edward Hiller, managing director of Mostyn Estates, said: "It is a shame, particularly for the staff, many of whom were long standing members of staff.      ref DP

note one of the guilty vans still parked on new section of pavement ..........

CO-OP article..............
When I heard about this development I was worried it would not be in keeping with the local area, big and brash, but looking at these  photos, it looks quite subdued, so fingers crossed no fluorescent signage.

A POPULAR kiosk has closed after many years in Llandudno.

The kiosk - Martin's Newsagents - was located in the town's Victoria Shopping centre.
Selina Satterthwaite thanked everyone for their custom and said they had closed to financial reasons.

Hays Travel to reopen Thomas Cook branches in Colwyn Bay and Llandudno to reopen.

“All the branches in North Wales have been acquired from Thomas Cook. We will be reopening the ones in Colwyn Bay and Llandudno in coming weeks, but this is a process which will take a little time as there is a lot of work to be done, but we are getting on with it.

The eyesore that was once RBS Bank next to M&S on Mostyn Street is about to have a facelift with a new shop front & internal work, to bring the vacant derelict building back into use.

Meleri, I am sure I read a few months ago that it will open up as a charity-type shop and part of a much larger group of charity-type shops owned by a new company.
