The Poundworld shop in Colwyn Bay is having a bit of a refit without half the shop about to become "Poundworld Plus" which will offer "bargains" costing more than a quid.  Looks like lots of homeware, cheap electrical goods, kitchen equipment, petfood, etc......in other words the same stuff that Poundstretcher already sell.  Hopefully they'll remember to change the "Everything £1" sign above the door.

Just what I thought when I called there this morning, there is going to be much of the same stuff in Poundword, Poundstretcher and Home Bargains, all of which are very close together.
Sad to see another empty shop at the top of Station Road now that the Age Concern place has closed.

Having just driven through town im gobsmacked nothing is done to clean up the empty shops, towns all over Britain have schemes too improve their town center, what do we have,a talking shop that do nothing.Take a look at the empty shop next to goldsmiths jewlers, its filthy, look at Jessops, everything of none value has just been left for us to look at,town manager, what happened to that little gem, still talking 3 years on.

Very true, Wrex, the shop next to Goldsmiths is filthy. Why can't the Town Clerk be asked to phone the owners and request they tidy up the frontage? This is just the sort of thing the Town Councillors could be doing to prove their worth.

I see that the Home Style shop or whatever it was called at Bog Island is now re-opening as Busters. Goodness only knows what was cluttering up the pavement when I drove past and this was before 8.30am.

Are you sure that's not the old sign that they've uncovered, as it used to be called that? I believe its opening as a pet supplies shop?

You could be right Dave-- I thought the name was familiar. Wonder if this is true if it will affect Pets at Home and Helen behind Boots?

I think it's a branch of Farm & Pet Place, who have expanded a lot in recent years:

Their next nearest branch is adjacent to McDonalds on the roundabout at Abergele.

It's a good move for them. They also have shops at Mold, Llangefni, Wrexham & Ruthin. Head office is in Colwyn Bay at the QH Enterprise Park.

It's great news, we currently travel to Abergele for our birdseed!
