When is this hotter shop opening, anybody know.
Looks very close to completion, maybe next week.

We’ve just come back from a trip South and whilst away stopped to look at a Hotter shop in Oxford. Very nice shoes but don't expect any bargains.

Looks as though the former Merrymoon shop has been let - wonder what is opening there?

 Mostyn Estates, as Freehold owner, will not permit a catering outlet there.

Have you seen that big old staircase at the back of the Poundstretcher shop?

The shop or the staircase ? ;D

The upstairs used to be good for household items, but it got in a bit of a state, the roof leaked and it made a shocking mess of the carpets. Not long after the public weren't allowed up there any more. Probably a fire risk.

There seem to be about 100 too many bars, cafes etc etc. Surely there are not enough customers to keep them all going?

Actually, there are not enough bars.

More bars, including a prestigious chain such as Barracuda or Yates, would make that area a REAL destination for locals, young 'out of towners' and tourists too.  Especially when the new Travel Lodge opens.

The overall effect would be a big uplift in trade for all the bars in the area.  ZXZ

We had  a quick walk in Mostyn Street yesterday and it amazes me how many of these bars etc there are, all very well for the holiday season, but how do they make them pay the other 9 months of the year?

Wetherspoons is too big - simple as.

If you took all the people in there and dotted them around smaller bars in the town those bars would be packed.

Also the drinks are too expensive (see why people go to wetherspoons above) so people only go out on selected nights
If pubs in Liverpool and Rhyl can afford to charge £1.60 for a pint why do most pubs in Llandudno charge £3.50 and now creeping up and beyond the £4 mark. Even if the pubs who charge £1.60 are only making a 10p profit on their pint - that means the pubs here are all making £2 at least on each pub  &shake& No wonder nobody is out, I like a drink now and again but at those prices and the fact the pubs are dead drinking just isn't worth it. Which is why you'll see my sticking to the soda water at darts Mr Fester  $good$
