That was my opinion about prices Dave, although as we are still looking for a small piece of furniture and spent some time in Pen. on Sun looking at same --they aren't that high. :o

Maybe the prices have been set so you can barter a bit.  I'll have to go and a have a look.  Nemesis have you looked in the reclaim centers in llandudno and Colwynbay they have some nice bits of furniture in them sometimes.

I think it's the next road up from Coed Pella if I remember rightly.

Don't Crest on the junction roundabout sell furniture too?

Conwy Furniture Reclaim is on Douglas Road (which is opposite Theatre Colwyn) in the old drinks depot and they have a second warehouse opposite the police station on Rhiw Road.

With CC coming to an agreement over the lease of the old Bay Trading shop, there must be hundreds of other buissnesses who would do the same  and this is why i thought a Town Manager was a good idea,it could have been their responsibility too find out who owns each building and try to encourage other nationals to take up all the empty units dotted over town. Obviously the Victoria Center is not allowed to reduce its rent or they would be full ,i imagine other tennants would complain and ask for a reduction themselves, but there is no reason why the shops in the Mostyn st need stay empty besides greed from the owners. :-X

I'm sure the rent is something stupid like £70,000 a year for Hoosons.

Dave, I recall that when we enquired about leasing that property a few months ago, it was £78,000 rent and £70,000 rateable value.
I also recall that we ended our interest there and then, didn't we?

Yes, it's a good location....but not worth anywhere near that much. It's going to be empty for a while unless they lower their expectations.
