First time I have ever seen one of these. A "car boot sale" in a shop, minus the car of course. It's on Abergele Road in Colwyn Bay. If anyone has any bits and bobs to sell you wander it, pay a fee, presumably daily, and spread your stuff out. Considering its early November there were a reasonable number of customers wandering around.
I don't imagine this ever spreading to Mostyn Street but I suppose it's preferable to an empty shop in a less desirable retail area

Mike, it just sounds like a table-top, or jumble sale type thing?

Yes I suppose it is. Its just the idea of someone paying for space in a proper shop which was new to me. But I suppose that is more or less what a jumble sale is

Yes, I see what you mean, you would usually expect to see them in Church Hall, Civic centres etc...

The 'spare 1/2' of The Wool Corner on the corner of Madoc St and Lloyd Street was being fitted and stocked this morning as a discount clothes and shoe shop.

Sainsburys are opening a superstore in Llandudno Junction, on the old Brickworks site behind Cineworld.

Fingers crossed....

Mostyn Estates own website does say the property has been let stc. Wonder who it could be? It'a very prominent site, so hope it's good.

A thumbs-up from me to the Village Farm Shop in Rhos. I discovered, a few days ago, that they have a little kitchen in the back where they bake small quantities of scones, etc. I bought a cheese scone (still warm) and a piece of shortbread. Absolutely delicious. Great to see businesses like this flourishing.  $good$

Just noticed the 'new' shop on the corner of Mostyn St and Trinity Square. Pre-owned labelled clothes. Couldn't see much as I was driving and it wasn't open.

I saw that a few weeks ago, don't know if it's a donation or cash for clothes thing. I've got some Superdry shirts that need casting off.
After all what is time, a mere tyranny.

The big sell is £2 for one item, £5 for three items and £10 for seven items.  I could get a whole new wardrobe for 25 quid.    _))*
