The last concert I went to was to see The Classic Rock Show in January
brilliant covers of some great rock tunes
here's a short excerpt from the finale, a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird.

Not really heavy metal or rock

But the legend Jack Bruce singer of Cream, is playing VC end of month.
Was most suprised that he's not playing theatre - but is actually playing the little hall upstairs.

Must have trouble selling the tickets - it's only about 15 rows with the seats in there!

Thunder - Love walked in

Thunder must have been one of the most under-rated UK rock bands ever,
I've seen them countless times and even scagged a back stage pass where we lucky few talked and had a beer with them.
Alas, they have now disbanded but there is always a chance they could reform, they've done it before.

As you say Bob, I had forgotten about them.. they are a bit middle of the road for me.. but that track was in my Rock Ballads CD,
You know I never even knew they were British!

A bit middle of the road for me too Fester but a great alternative to the so called rock they play on the radio.
They are reuniting for a one off concert festival in London later this year and Danny Bowes (the singer that left and caused the band to split)
admits he really missed singing and being in the band more than he thought, so a future reincarnation is possible.

Thomas Crane aged 21 is a brilliant up and coming lead guitarist, now part of Our Innocence Lost

On YouTube he's posted great covers of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Carlos Santana and this one of Jimi Hendrix $elvis$

Comfortably Numb - Roger Waters and David Gilmour reunited on stage at London O2 Arena 12 May 2011

I don't know how to load You Tube videos but this should be the link to a clip of Roger Waters at the O2 last night when Dave Gilmour appeared on top of the wall playing Comfortably Numb!

Thanks Dave, I realised once I pressed Post that the link put the video in automatically. I'm not very computer literate.
